In our eyes, one of the most important parts of being in business is to give back to the community. We are committed to taking the time and using our resources and talents to help others in our community and around the world. Here are a few of the organizations that we proudly volunteer with:
The Teacher’s Fund developed by Village Properties as a way to help local teachers obtain the supplies they need to help educate Santa Barbara’s children. We are on the committee for the Teacher’s Fund Golf Tournament every year, in 2015 we raised a record $93,000 for Santa Barbara classrooms.
We are one of the only members in Santa Barbara of Giveback Homes, a group of real estate professionals working together towards social good. This organization that partners with Habitat for Humanity to build homes for families in need both across the United States and the world. With every home we sell, we donate funds to help build one for a family in need.
Coastal Housing Partnership
We like to do our part to help those who work in our community own a home in our community. This is why we participate in the Coastal Housing Partnership. If a client’s company also participates in the program, a portion of our commission is credited back to our client.
Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce
As members of the SB Chamber of Commerce, we are always up-to-date on the happenings in Santa Barbara government and business and are able to network with a wide variety of Santa Barbarans. Brianna is an Ambassador with the Chamber and through her role is able to help foster new Chamber members and organize the annual Toast the Season event, which benefits a different local nonprofit each year.
SBAOR Statistical Review Committee
Dianne is a member of the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors Statistical Review Committee. Here she is able to stay incredibly in touch with the market and helps to organize the yearly Real Estate Economic Review and Forecast to educate the Santa Barbara real estate community.
SBAOR Young Professionals Network
Brianna is the committee chair and a founding member of the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors Young Professionals Network. This organization focuses on giving back to the community and has participated in numerous events including beach clean-ups, Habitat for Humanity build days, United Way’s Day of Caring and other charitable organizations.
SBAOR Events Committee
Brianna is a member of the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors Events Committee. Working with a handful of other agents and affiliates, the committee organizes numerous events throughout the year for the association and the community. The largest event is a Charity Golf Tournament which benefits a different non-profit each year. Last year the tournament raised over $75,000 for the Athletic Round Table in Santa Barbara.
American Heart Association
Dianne and Brianna are proud supporters of the American Heart Association. They are honored to attend and support the annual Go Red for Women luncheon each year. In addition, they captain the Village Properties Team for the Heart Walk each September.
