The Style: Although the building itself is graced with an incredibly hip, retro flair, the interior of this sweet home is completely remodeled with today’s amenities and sleek style. Finishes in the kitchen are clean with contemporary vibes and a retro oven reminiscent of the building’s exterior. The bath is stylish and calming with white and blue tones.
Why we love it: First of all location. Location within it’s complex, and location within the town. That’s what real estate is all about right? Location, location, location. This end-unit, ground floor unit is situated with every window facing out towards greenery and easy access from the garage and street beyond. Both private patios are secluded and well landscaped with stone pavers, gravel and succulents. It lives more like a cottage than a condo. The De La Vina corridor is just steps away with plenty of restaurant hot spots, trendy coffee spots and grocery shops. If you’re up for it, you can even take a stroll to downtown Santa Barbara for a little more variety.
Favorite Element: The layout! For a 1-bedroom in Santa Barbara’s real estate marketplace, this home is huge. It’s actually bigger than some 2 bedroom houses that we see on the market, but it’s at a condo price-point – yay! Boasting approximately 984 square feet, the multiple private outdoor spaces make it feel even larger. Here in California, we spend just as much time in our outdoor living spaces as our indoor, that’s a huge thank you to our Mediterranean climate, and a huge benefit to this condo. With an smart and easy floor plan that utilizes every nook and cranny for storage, the home feels light, bright and large.
