Located on a 10 mile stretch of beautiful coast and agricultural land, it is a family-friendly location. There is ample opportunity to picnic with friends and family at one of Goleta’s parks, to surf among the locals at the acclaimed Campus Point surf break, or to hike on stunning trails in the surrounding mountains. With miles of bicycle trails it is easy to explore the gorgeous seaside and wooded landscape of Goleta. Spending time amongst beautiful monarch butterflies at Goleta’s Ellwood Butterfly Preserve is not to be missed.
 
Discover the city’s three major shopping centers, each just a few block away from nearby hotels featuring an eclectic mix of brand name stores as well as local retailers and host to local farmers markets twice a week. Goleta has the areas only bowling lanes, ice-rink, drive-in movie theatre and trampoline gym. Every year in October, the city of Goleta hosts the California Lemon Festival.
